The Research And Design Of Session Border Controller

With the current society communication service ceaseless diversification, IMS, which is the core network of data domain in communication structure, gradually becomes the hotspot of the communication research recent years. The focus of recent-year research is mainly on the combination of IMS network. Because IMS is a based-on IP system, provides the basis to mobile and fixed communication combination, and is figured an important phase of the network evolvement by the professional.But, currently IMS still has some defects. IMS is a communication platform based on IP and SIP, not a traditional telecom network, although it can more conveniently provide various communication services, because of the existing environment, it unavoidably happens to some security problems, like IMS core network exposure, etc. Therefore, IMS needs do the security protection in the aspects of physical and security management to network key object, like CSCF, to avoid hacker or others attacking the CSCF objects. So the draft of speaking brink controller is presented, and the communication field gradually starts the research of speaking brink controller (SBC). SBC is mainly a barrier of IMS, helping IMS to achieve topology hiding, NAT traversing, and an important role of IPV4/IPV6 transition. SBC can realize the functions of protecting IMS functional object and core network topology structure, and under the network of IPV4/IPV6 ends coexisting, achieve the successful access of every IP version end.This document mainly presents SBC function and design scheme, and briefly introduces the realization method based on JAIN-SIP. The detailed includes: 1) Expatiate SIP protocol.2) Expatiate IMS structure and its network object.3) Introduce the SBC theory, function and design mode.4) Based on 1), 2), 3) and combined with the own experience in the intern company, finish the software design and realization of SBC.5) Write out testing cases, and do the functional test to the designed software.Currently, there are not many organizations and units of researching SBC and the related, this software get a better effect in the company test, especially playing an important roles in the evolvement of IPV4/IPV6, and providing the convenience to the varies IP version ends.
