E-commerce has played significant roles in national economy with the rapid development of information technology. In recent years, Information and communications technology has made great improvement with the great socio-economic transformation such as global expansion of service economy, diversification of market demand and extensive establishment of social network. Annual volume of data expands with double speed, while the scattered data sources, difficultly integrated heterogeneous databases and seriously complicated data access problem have led to less than 10% sufficient analysis and application in real practice. How to convert the plentiful data into needed information of decision-makers and raise the whole level of e-commerce have become a new study direction concerned widely by government, enterprises and soft-ware developers.The paper analyzes the main technology of business intelligence, combines the mobile, virtual and individual characteristics to integrate business intelligence and e-commerce, improve the ability of data mining, extraction, transformation integration and application. The article expounds how to enhance intelligence searching, exact marketing, comparing shopping, supply chain and distribution optimization as well as other practical demands, furthermore, it also states the future prospect of the combining of business intelligence and e-commerce.The thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the background, purpose, framework and steps of the study. Chapter II gives a brief introduction of business intelligence. Chapter III states the key technology including data collection, knowledge management, data integration, meaning analysis, and individual on-line recommending technology of scattered business knots. The forth chapter shows the profile of e-commerce application and business intelligence application in e-commerce. The fifth chapter explains business intelligence's development trend in the application of e-commerce.
