Along with the evolution of network system architecture and the development of Broad Band technologies, the evolution of the traditional network to the NGN (Next Generation Network) is inevitable. The Next Generation Network based on Soft-switch has developed several commercial applications, such as traditional voice service and multimedia service. Due to its superiorities in cost, price, and technologies, operators gradually bring the NGN into commercial plan. As the IP network develops, the NGN has taken the IP network as the main Load Bearing network. The NGN compromises each kind of network and provides services by a flexible and unique way.In this paper, we briefly introduce the sketch of the Soft-switch network technologies, including the basic conceptions, characteristics and the architecture of the NGN. Then we study the reason of bringing the Soft-switch into network. Thinking over the current situation and the existing problem of the JIANGXI Unicorn's switch network, we analyze the necessary and feasibility of constructing the Soft-switch network.Considering the architecture of JIANGXI Unicorn's newly building Soft-switch network, the construction suggestion is proposed. In this paper, we analyze the design schemes and the construction principles for the Service Sub-network and the Management Sub-network. Then we propose the construction and engineering plan of Load Bearing network for JIANGXI Unicom. According to the traffic load of the current system and the capacity of the Soft-switch equipment, we forecast the traffic and signaling band width that may be needed, then make a construction plan that can assure the QoS (Quality of Service) for JIANGXI Unicorn's Soft-switch Network.At the end of this paper, we summarize the engineering construction of JIANGXI Unicom Soft-switch network, and elaborate the problems of the Soft-switch network. This paper meets the demands proposed by the subject.
