The Construction Of China Telecom's International Soft Switch Network

As the core technique of NGN, Soft Switch has gradually put into use. The difference between the Soft Switch and traditional TDM switch is that the Soft Switch introduces the modularity design which make the Soft Switch becomes the truly network that separates the service from calling control, as well as calling control from the transmission network.Firstly this text introduced the concept, framework, characteristics and practical meaning of Soft Switch. The idea of network construction is introduced through the basic demand between the Soft Switch and the other network.The emphases of this paper are including two parts. One is the networking design of signaling gateway which uses Sigtran protocol. This text analyses and compares M2UA, M3UA and M2PA in theory and practice. The other is the Soft Switch interconnection with the PSTN network. In this condition, the network organization must update. This text discusses the network organization of the voice service and platform service.Finally, this text expatiate the two important aspects that exist in the test. One is network communication test; the other is Soft Switch adscription test.
