| Software Configuration Management (SCM) has the decisive position in daily qulity management. It is an effective software management procedure, and has been validated by software experience. SCM can manage and control the whole software developing effectively and can perfectly recorde the history change during the developing. It can help to sure the software's update and maintenance, and help to protect the valued source code, cumulate the sofeware value, improve softeware reuse rate, and accelerate return of investment. UCM (Unified Change Management) is the third generation SCM resolvent brought forward by IBM Rational. It defines that the change management based an action which covered the whole developing life procedure, including the change for requirement, design model, document, component, and testing and source code. UCM predigests and develops the software by improving abstract method. So use UCM can make the developing group to manage change through actions, it is a more advanced SCM method.Travelsky Limited Company is a corporation on civil aviation business. With the development, the configuration management asks for high requestment, the SCM model of VSS and manual procedure can not meet the need. How to build a science SCM system, how to control or standalize the developing process and how to improve the ability of developing group are all the most important tasks for TARAVELSKY.This paper base on the basic theories, and analyses the SCM problems and the rebuild requirement of configuration management system for TRAVELSKY. It evalues the new SCM system, and choose Rational UCM as the new system and method. It also research to customize the corporation's software configuration management flow and criterion. It describes the procedure to building SCM system and the problems and resolvent during the building procedure. Again, based on these, this paper further researches how to use the tool and method into a special project. |
