Research And Practice Of Software Configuration Management Policy Based On C/S Development System

More and more companies pay attention to software configurationmanagement and the use of its tools. It can be said that if the software industry wantsto have a better development, no software configuration management strategies andtools support is impossible. The beginning part of the thesis mainly introduces thecompany’s ongoing project’s marketing and technology background, how to choosethe topic, the meaning of research and problem. With my practical work experience insoftware configuration management, familiar with the use of configurationmanagement tools, based on the ongoing project, give the elaboration for the actualoperation process. This article also provides certain reference value for the beginnersbased on Perforce tool; leads them to set up project configuration managementenvironment, define relevant specification, as well as submit the change request anddefect tracking via MKS tool; how to release baseline and finish audit activitiesduring the SW development; try to provide the best solution and fix plan for thenormal problems.The last part of the thesis forecasts the trend and foreground of theconfiguration management technology. It provides the conclusion about task andmaking a value analysis, meanwhile, makes the suggestion and rationalizationproposal for the improvement of configuration management in the future.
