The 21st Century is an era of knowledge economy and information society. A country's international competitiveness is often judged in terms of its people's ability to gain, use and create information. Based on this, cultivating and improving students'quality of information literacy is taken as an important content of Quality Education in China. Information Quality Education is an important part of individual Lifelong Education. In 1984, in order to enhance students'information literacy, The Ministry of Education issued a document to request institutions of higher learning to create"Document Retrieval and Utilization"course (i.e."Document Retrieval"). In this paper, on the base of blog platform and guided by the principle of curriculum resources'exploitation and utilization, exploitation and utilization of"Document Retrieval"curriculum resources have been discussed systematically from theoretical and practical levels by using literature material, action research, case analysis, questionnaire investigation and other research methods. Theoretically mutual relations of"Document Retrieval", curriculum resources and blog have been discussed; practically, on the base of Blog named"information retrieval"and other individual blogs, multi-dimensional"Document Retrieval"curriculum resources have been exploited and utilized to improve teaching effect of"Document Retrieval"and enrich"Document Retrieval"curriculum resources'theoretical scope of the study.The main content of this paper is divided into three parts:Part I: The principle of " Document Retrieval" curriculum resources'exploitation and utilization. According to the generalized concept of curriculum resources,"Document Retrieval"curriculum resources are various factors which are conducive to the realization of the"Document Retrieval"course objectives. They are characterized by the diversity, generativeness, potential and selectivity, and can be divided into the original nature, the endogenous and exogenous resources from the perspective of curriculum constraints. Humanism, constructivism, interactive learning and reflective learing are theoretical foundation of their exploitation and utilization. The main guiding principles of their exploitation and utilization are openness, economy, sharing and pertinence. Partâ…¡: A blog platform has been built to exploit and utilize"Document Retrieval"curriculum resources. As information publishing and communication platform, blog can be conveniently built because of Zero-technology ,Low-cost and Easy-registration characteristics, and can be conveniently managed because of its subscription and quotation functions. In addition, from the perspective of communication science, blog can be characterized by the privacy, openness, interaction,sharing and we media. Through comparison and analysis of three build mode of blog, a blog named"Information Retrieval"was built based on hosted blog to exploit and utilize"Document Retrieval"curriculum resources.Partâ…¢: Analysis on"Document Retrieval"curriculum resources'exploitation and utilization and the teaching effect on the base of blog platform."Document Retrieval"curriculum resources is at existents of logs, reviews, leave words, resources navigation and so on, which can be exploited and utilized from original, endogenous and exogenous dimensions by application of blog ring, blog search engine, RSS and Tracking back technology. Original resources whose most important composition is knowledge have a direct effect on"Document Retrieval", which are composed of revised text content and other related information in blog.Endogenous resources are human resources which have a direct effect on"Document Retrieval", where in blog it is composed of experience, wisdom, emotional attitudes resources which are results of the interaction between students and teachers. Exogenous resources are social recources which have an indirect effect on"Document Retrieval", where in blog it has the features of Social resources and cultural resources of blog itself.On the base of questionnaire investigation in the students, a conclusion can be elicited that multi-dimensional curriculum resources'exploitation and utilization based on the blog platform can improve enthusiasm and efficiency of students to learn, enhance students'the realization of morality in information, and promote emotional communication between students and teachers.
