Embedded System Research On Video Based On TMS320DM6446

High-speed progress of Internet, embedded system, and DSP (Digital Signal Processor) has now developed far beyond our anticipation. Along with the Digital Video technology will reshape the outlook of the entire electronic industry undoubtedly. In fact, digital video technology also makes profound changes in our digital experience, transmission as well as interactive transaction, and it has been entered the domain of car, computer, mobile phone, network, etc. ARM (Advanced RISC Machine) embedded system and DSP are widely used in everywhere nowadays, for example: PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), digital top box, digital camera, and digital TV.Normally ,embedded video monitoring system consist of a general Purpose embedded processor and a digital signal processor.The Davinci technology integrated an ARM core and a C64x+ DSP core into one sillicon; it improves the system integration,lowers the board Level cost and improves dual-core coordination operation efficiency. This thesis uses davinci technology dual-core processor TMS320DM6446 as the main processor; the hardware system design involves video input interface design, DDR2 dynamic memory interface design, Flash Memory Interface Design, ATA hard disk interface,Ethernet interface, USB interface, UART interface, the external control interface design and power supply system design. In this paper, the various components of the hardware system's functions and features are also introduced in detail.We searched and read lots of material about high speed design. When designing this board, the anti-interference capability is much considered. To improve the overall performance, components with high quality is chosen. To improve the stability of both hardware and software, the following method is introduced in system design: Multi-layer PCB routing, which makes a compact structure and arranges signal layer next to ground layer; Analysis system, plan system block diagram and design flow chart according to the method of software project. This greatly decreases error conditions.
