Study On Bulletin Board System From The Perspective Of Postmodernism

This thesis takes an initial attempt to address the postmodern festures of Contemporary Chinese BBS culture.Postmodernism is the main theoretical support of this paper. Viewing postmodernism from a broard perspective and making a comparison to the current Chinese BBS status,the author concludes that the Chinese BBS has obviously embodied the postmodern cultural features.At the beginning of this thesis,the author states the possibility of introducing the postmodernism culture theory into the research on BBS,and analyzes postmodernism culture context.After this,the thesis addresses in details that the fragmentation, carnival,infinite replication,depth-less-ness,and other postmodern cultural features repesented by BBS media in the contemporary Chinese culture environment,as well as eclecticism,patch,irony,parody,nostalgia, consumerism and materialization characteristics affected by these postmodern cultural features.This thesis also analyzes the Chinese-featured postmodern cultural features in Chinese BBS at a certain level.In conclusion,the author reflects on certain postmodern cultural festures in Chinese BBS and puts forwards the author's own opinions and standpoints.
