Research On The Selection For The Schema Of IT Decision Governance

IT has long been recognized as the enabler and part of organizational strategy. The CEO, CIO and IT expertise have already realized that the alignment between enterprise and IT strategy is exactly one of key factors of enterprise success. And IT Governance combines the IT investment with risk control in order to boost the realization the enterprise strategy by the way of effective systematic and application of reliable information technologies. Thus, the focus of IT Governance is increasingly growing.From the view of real enterprise application, the paper conducts research on the method and process for selecting IT Governance decision schemas and establishes the model of selecting IT Governance decision schemas based on the models produced by MIT Sloan School Center for Information Systems Research (CISR) as well as the COBIT model. I hope to provide a guide for domestic corporations that how to implement a good and suitable schemas of IT Governance decision. The paper raises the proposition through the current problems facing with enterprise IT implementation. Then I introduce some of the general concepts of IT Governance and COBIT model to identify the objective of IT Governance. After that, based on the CISR models, the paper discusses and analyzes the decision oriented IT Governance and puts forward how to obtain the enterprise expectations of IT Governance from the view of IT decision. Then I discuss the IT Governance schemas; analyze the manifest that IT Governance schemas perform under differentIT decisions in terms of different target areas of IT Governance. Finally, the paper proposes a completed model and comprehensive case for how to select the right IT Governance decision schemas with detailed analysis.The main content of this paper includes the way of obtaining qualified expectation of IT Governance; the analysis for IT Governance schemas based on the real data and case research of CISR as well as the selection of IT Governance decision schemas and four parts of this selection process under the condition of different enterprise expectations.The paper has two innovation points. One is combining the CISR and COBIT models through five IT Governance target areas; the other is establishing the qualified selection model for IT Governance decisions modes.
