In this paper, the common electric heating furnace temperature control system on metallurgical,chemical and other industries is used for the control of object. This paper analysis of the characteristics of their control and expounds the design program in the electric furnace temperature control system.For a number of issues in temperature control, such as the precise mathematical model is difficult to determine, the impact of circumstances interference to control targets and so on, this paper uses a fuzzy PID control program. This paper outlines the development of automatic control, fuzzy control principle and its algorism. At first, this paper designs a fuzzy PID control system, analysis design steps of the fuzzy controller and the choice of parameters and control rules and makes simulation testing, then analysis its performance indicators, shows that this fuzzy PID control system is reasonable and feasible. Then, in the fuzzy PID control system by adding a study apparatus that component of the fuzzy controller, it constitutes a fuzzy self-tuning PID control system.Two fuzzy self-tuning PID control systems are designed in this paper. One is a fuzzy self-tuning PID control system that based on reference model; the other is a fuzzy self-tuning PID control system that based on state supervision. This paper analysis their control principle and feasibility and simulates two self-tuning fuzzy PID controllers in Simulink circumstances in MATLAB. Experimental results show that, the two self-tuning fuzzy PID controller not only has good control accuracy and speed of response, but also has good robustness.
