| The Ultra-wideband pulse antenna has the ability of radiating and receiving fast changed transient pulse signal, and the transient antenna can cover a very wide frequency band. So it has many applications such as in ultra-wideband(UWB) communication, UWB radar, surface-penetrating radar, electromagnetic compatibility and other electromagnetic domain. While the UWB horn antenna is a typical directed radiation pulse antenna, which has wide bandwidth, good directivity and other merit, so research on such as radiation characteristic and impedance characteristic of the antenna for special application is very important.UWB horn antenna has the character of wide operation bandwidth, good directivity and stable phase center, which make the time-domain short pulse signal from the UWB horn antenna has good fidelity character, and the antenna can not only be used as single structure in some system, but also be used as array element involved in antenna array.In this thesis, firstly, the thesis introduce the differences between pulse radiate antenna and traditional UWB antenna, analyses the qualification definitions of time-domain UWB antenna, especially introduces the phase centre and group delay conception and analyses the basic theory of horn antenna.Secondly, the UWB structure character of UWB TEM horn antenna and UWB quad-ridged horn antenna are introduced in theory and two kind of UWB horn antenna models mentioned above are presented based on practical requirement. The satisfied UWB impulse antennas are got by CST MWS? software, and the index parameters all match the practical need. Also, the influences on character such as return loss by dimension parameter are analysis, and it gets some analysis based on regular result.At last, the thesis design and fabricate a UWB TEM horn antenna with floorboard. The return loss, radiate pattern etc. are measured in a shielded anechoic chamber and the result match the practical requirements, so prove the correctness of the design model. |
