At the 21st century, the malignant tumors as ruthless killer swallowed countless lives. Every year, millions of people are suffering from cancer and die, so thousands of the families are caught in the predicament. Effective treatment of malignant tumors benefits the people, it has become the common aspiration of the medical science community, the scientific community and the engineering community.Using radio frequency ablation method to cure tumors as the new technique develops in recent years and is proven to be effective. Radio frequency ablation technique kills the nidus quickly and efficiently without surgery, it has the advantages of minimal invasiveness, efficiency, safety, and easy, so it is widely recognized by the clinicians. Producing the tumor radio frequency ablation instrument has great social significance and huge potential market. Many hospitals, for example: county-level hospitals, city-level hospitals may use the tumor radio frequency ablation instrument. At present, for the majority of radio frequency ablation instruments, at the side of the control mode, using the traditional structure of the master and slave machine, the master machine completes data collection, and communicates slave machine through RS232, it has weakness in real-time performance; at the side of the temperature control, the accuracy of temperature control is not high, much fluctuation exists in the temperature control; at the side of the software system, it only has simple network connectivity functions; at the side of the exchange of data, it failed to follow the HL7 standard. During the treatment plan and images monitor, owing to lack of DICOM interface, so unable to access PACS, making radio frequency ablation instruments subject to certain restrictions in the hospital system application. This project developed new types of radio frequency ablation instrument based on ARM9 core of embedded system to replace the conventional master/ slave machine control mode .PC becomes optional configuration, mainly for the terminal display, HL7 protocol explanation, DICOM format conversion, and other functions. The embedded system completes data collection, algorithms, parameters setting, real-time monitoring and other functions. Using SOA framework concept, the HL7 protocol, DICOM standards to exploit the application system of radio frequency ablation instrument to link seamlessly PACS, HIS systems. In the prototype instrument, the slave machine completes PID control algorithm, data acquisition, parameter setting, system monitor; the master machine completes the specific control of voltage adjustment and pulse width modulation, the master machine communicates the slave machine by the RS232 interface, it is very difficult for real-time control. After using embedded system, at one side, a variety of treatment information can be directly outputted to the display screen of the embedded sytem; at another side, the imformation can be transmitted to PC through the 10M/100M network interface, then it is converted by HL7 and DICOM interface, At last, it is sent to the application database. The article proposed the improved PID algorithm to improve temperature control accuracy, reducing temperature fluctuation range. In the final analysis of the power amplification technology on the basis of the harmonic oscillator, designing power amplifier , and it can adjust output amplitude and duty cycle. The experiment verifies that the improved algorithm can meet the clinical demand.
