With the rapid development of our national economy,the number of public and private vehicle has a surprise increase,which takes burdened pressure to the road traffic. At the same time,the large number and high coverage of vehicle makes the management difficult.There are many special vehicle groups among the city traffic,like buses,taxies,police cars,ambulances,fire-fighting vehicle,cash trucks,etc.It would be helpful to the city traffic if these vehicle groups can get real-time monitoring and better management.Meanwhile,the PLA army also needs to build a military transportation security system to monitoring and tracking the armored troops,transport vehicle and other military vehicles.Above all,it is very important to develop a real-time multi-function mobile target monitoring system.This thesis is to build this real-time multi-function mobile target monitoring system based on VHF wireless communication and TDMA multi-access technology.Based on the 32-bit ARM microprocessor S3C44BOX and the embedded real-time operating systemμC/OS-Ⅱ,a kind of multi-uart embedded communication controller is designed and implemented.The corresponding protocol and application programme system are also realized.The function of the system is to analyse the GPS information of mobile targets,pack it up into frames,together with the state of vehicles according to established protocol,encipher using the RRSE algorithm developed by ourselves,send the frames up to the monitoring center and display on the electronic map.The center can also send down command to track,distribute,alarm and remote control the mobile targets.This thesis studies the key technologies involved in the development and proposes a reasonable solution.Firstly,the correlated technologies are briefly presented like GPS, GIS,TDMA,CRC,etc.Secondly,the design of the monitoring system is introduced from three parts:the total design of system,hardware platform design and software system design.The total design of the system refers to the communication method choice,system function and structure,OSI protocol design,etc.In the hardware design, the S3C44BOX which is of ARM7TDMI kernel and produced by SAMSUNG is chosen as the core microprocessor to develop multi-uart embedded communication controller. The software design is to develop the drivers for the hardware modules,software system for mobile terminals and monitoring center.Finally,the extended function of the system and the further research direction are proposed.
