Knowledge management is a new management pattern in the age of knowledge-based economy. Domestic and foreign library science and informatics think highly of its application in library management. Relevant research and practice have developed in the fields of knowledge management and university library management. It is a worthwhile issue to be concerned on how to inspire the librarians and the resources.The thesis is intended to discuss the strategy and project of university library management by using literature summarization and comparison. First, it introduces the theory of knowledge management, including knowledge and learning organization, establishes the frame of knowledge management whose aim is based on learning organization. Then it probes into the strategy of management by SWOT analysis, suggesting that university library should hold opportunity and use superiority to strengthen its flexibility and innovation abilities. Finally, it designs the frame of university library management which is based on knowledge management, that is personal knowledge management, organization knowledge management and process management, sums up the characteristics.The aim that introduces knowledge management is to explore librarians' tacit knowledge and organization's potential, enrich organization knowledge and enable the person sharing knowledge to solve the problem. All in all, university library management is the knowledge transferring process, which acts on library and librarians' knowledge share. It's also a process of constructing, understanding and sharing professional knowledge together. The purposes of this thesis are to renew library science professional recourses and to build learning library, thus make knowledge service efficiently.
