With the development of network, home network goes to be a new hotspot. At the same time, more and more electrical equipments get into people's home and controlling them is more and more difficult. If we get all the electrical equipments to be a whole network and control all of them in one node of the network, it will be more simple and convenient. The network I say is just home network. There are several techniques to build the home network. In our work, we used the Bluetooth. Bluetooth has many advantages, such as low technique complication, can support audio and data link at the same time, good security, good mobility, low building cost, low maintenance cost, and so on.In my work and this dissertation, the home network based on Bluetooth is researched and applicated. At first a home network is presented, which including host, client, remote controller, mobile controller. A new home network protocol is established. Bluetooth protocol is learned and used as wireless communication method in the home network application. Computer is used as host of the home network and Visual Basic 6.0 is used to program the host's software, which including basic control and display, serial communication, and internet communication. The Clients are the intelligent electrical equipment in the home network. In my design, the clients are controlled by AVR MCU Atmega16L, Which contains lighting system, safeguard system, TV system, and air condition system. The remote controller of the home network which communications with the host by the internet, can also control the home network. A mobile controller controlled by Atmega16L is also designed for convenient. At last, a home network including host, client, remote controller and mobile controller is realized.
