Application And Research On Home Network Based On Bluetooth

With the development of home appliances, short of communication among them is more and more becoming a problem. At present there is no central point of control among the traditional home appliances, and we cannot access them through Internet. To solve these issues, home network is proposed to connect all the appliances, home PC and portable devices together using network technology. Controlling all the appliances through one single node (the home network gateway), home network makes life much simpler and convenient.There are several local area network technologies applicable to home network. Bluetooth technology is chosen in this paper as the home networking technology due to its many advantages over others.This thesis is focused on applying Bluetooth technology on setting up home network. First, this paper introduces the background and features of Bluetooth technology. After discussing the home network architecture, a solution of home network based on Bluetooth technology is proposed. Then, we put forward a brief introduction of the imbedded development platform andμClinux as the embedded operating system.Second, after introducing the CSR Bluetooth chip and its application we developed the Bluetooth USB adapter and Bluetooth serial adapter based on this module.Third, a home network solution based on imbedded Bluetooth platform is proposed. We put forward the detailed hardware and software design and implementation of the home gateway based on embedded microprocessor MCF5272. After that, the three main embedded implementation schemes of Bluetooth protocol are all applied to the design of home controlling subnet.At last, based on the Bluetooth serial adaptor, we built a Bluetooth home network centered on a home PC and implemented the communication solution within the network.
