Nowdays, the computer control system have been used widely and developed. And the control system of AC servo has been the trend of modern servo control system. Cut-to-length is the first working procedure of flimsy armor machining, which have two types equipment: the flying shear unit and the stop shear unit. The stop shear unit is simple and investment little, which is used widely in medium and pint-size corporation. With the development of our industrialization, the technology requirement of across shear is higher than before. The grade of automatization and the efficiency of production are low in medium and pint-size corporation. Especially, the error of cut-to-length is big. In the case of the condition, an advanced control system is designed in the paper. The core of control servo electromotor using computer and transducer is adopted. Advantech computer and input/output interface and Lenze transducer servo electromotor are used as hardware equipment. The computer and intelligent control can be used in the method, which improve the efficiency of the across shear production. Relative to the same performance of import equipment. This system cost lower and performance better. It can be satisfied that old equipment update in the medium/pint-sized corporation and it is provided with great market value.The ratio of performance and price can be great improve with control software self-development in industry computer control system. With comprehended the advanced control idea and control mode from equipment introduced, a new method adopt mature and credible hardware equipment in the practice applying and software with self-development is put forward. The system logic control and parameter set and optimized and cut-to-length and simulated were realized with C language. With analyzed of advance PID control mode, the advance PID control mode is used to improve the performance of system control. At the same time the S type velocity given is better than line velocity given in across-cut control system to avoid skid in the process of deliver material and the precision of cut was improved with improving efficiency of production.The applying of self-adapt fuzzy control of fuzzy control and PID control is discussed the applying in across cut-to-length control system in Chapter Four. An accurate mathematics model is difficult to establish because of a lot of factor, such as: the measure of roller slot press down, the odd thickness of armor plate, the dissimilarity of material quality and the fluctuating of power supply. The fuzzy control is introduced because of the effect of cut-to-length control is better than using the traditional control. Through simulated test, a good effect is obtained by fuzzy control. The system can be self-adapt adjust control by fuzzy control. And the dynamic characteristic of system is improved.
