According to the experimental need of the soil-project, using computer automatic control technique, the perfect control-software has been designed for controlling the Soil Static and Dynamic Universal Triaxial and Torsional Shear Apparatus developed with the cooperation of Japan Tokyo seiken. Based on the program platform of VC++6.0, the system, which developed using the single-neuron-adaptive-PID-control theory and using the multithreading technique, precise time technique and DirectDraw technique, can accomplish controlling Triaxial and Torsional Shear Apparatus automatically and collecting and processing data. The system can accomplish all kinds of static and dynamic combination experiments and can real-time detect experimental data including the dynamic stress, strain and pore pressure etc, and the experimental data can be curved on the screen in real time. System is used conveniently and has high control precision.The article introduces the method and the theory that author has improved on the primary data-processing system and primary control system, and gives the performance parameters of developed testing-system. Considering the question of control precision under the referenced signals with different frequency, the single neuron adaptive PID controller is presented to reconstruct the control system to achieve the adaptive control of triaxial and torsional test. The single neuron adaptive PID controller will make rapid improvement of the control precision and robustness of control system under all kinds of referenced signals with the different frequency.Building and the original state of dynamic stress in the soil are very complex. The magnitude and direction of main dynamic stress change frequently. Under the complex condition, the relationship between soil dynamic character and structure will turn more complex when soil is pressed more and more by the complex loads including the wave, earthquake and so on. So it is meaningful that design the device that can simulate the complex environment. The experimental condition of stressing the soil is met by loading random wave and earthquake wave, which presents precise experimental environment for real projects.The developed shear apparatus has been used and run well. Experts think that the performance is better than before and it can achieve the advanced international level.
