The subject is made under the background of No.1 pickling line automation control system of Zhe Jiang Hong Feng Combine. The article gives the general electric design scheme, including the design of electric drive system and the design of the technologic control system. The automation control of the pickling line sets is accomplished. The coiler tension control system is a very important part of the produce process in the pickling line. The performance of tension control system influences the final products directly. The article analyzes the new progress of the coiler tension control system, gives a new indirect tension control method based on S7-300 PLC and Ansaldo SPDM set. This method is very simple, and the control precision is high. It can control the coiler tension instantly and effectively. The article also design a communication network based on Profibus-DP field bus, the communication between S7-300 PLC and SPDM set, the communication between S7-300 PLC and S7-200PLC, and the communication between S7-300 PLC and HMI in the main operate table are accomplished. The information exchange is more effectively. This network is the bottom of the corporation information network system.The main works of the article are:(1) The general automation control scheme is designed. The electric drive set is selected and its control circuit is designed. The article designs the technologic control program based on technologic control process, accomplished that the edges of the product are orderly using EPC system.(2) The Profibus is deeply researched in the article; the author analyzes its characteristics and its role in automation system, and then designs a communication system based on Profibus-DP which made the information exchange more effectively. (3) This paper researches the theory of coiler tension control, gives the idiographic method to accomplish the static and dynamic compensations, analyzes the error of the dynamic diameter calculation, gives the arithmetic of dynamic diameter and gives the idiographic method to accomplish this arithmetic using S7-300 PLC and SPDM set. At last, the author analyzes the coiler tension and designs the coiler tension control system.(4) The system debugging is finished, the design targets is accomplished. This system had a good effect during practice.
