Digital Television Operating And Supporting Information Model For Radiated Television Operator

The coming of the digital television age brings challenges to radiated television operators. The State Administration of Radio announced the complete promotion of the digital television in 2010. Under such condition, the building of the digital television operating and supporting system is important and urgent. The foundation of the operating system building is the designing of basic information model and the current model is too simple to support the new requirements. So the designing of the digital television operating and supporting information model is an urgent task.According to the theory of Shared Information/Data Model, this paper designs the digital television operating and supporting information model based on the new requirements of the digital television. This paper firstly analyzes the currently analog information model, indicates its defects of supporting the new operating process; secondly it analyzes the similarities and differences between the telecom and radio areas, which helps the experiences learning from the telecom fields; thirdly it analyzes the new requirements of the digital television in detail and at last the information model is worked out based on all preparation works done before.The designing of the information model is part of the project "Digital Television Operating and Supporting System Planning" cooperated with one of the radiated radio operators. As the specification of the supporting system, the information model attained expected results in practice.
