The thought of"thinks of danger in peace"already was ingrained in ancient times in our country."Living does not forget to perish; peace time not to forget the danger, governing does not forget unrest"and so on. This don't want to scare any person, what but is the emphasis is provides for accidence. Compared with the theory of crisis management in western modern,our country ancient thought did not yet formed the complete system info. In recent years, frequent thunderbolt unceasing violation society's stable, has been harassing people's daily life, especially in the 1990s, for example: Tianjin"performed acupuncture"the event, etal. China entered the time while the crisis succeeding more and more. Being one member of this society, the library is affected by the nature or society's uncertainty factor inevitably, and the thunderbolt is frequent gradually, and moreover destructiveness is getting bigger and bigger, which latent perhaps already erupted the crisis causes the enormous harm to the library image, the prestige and even the practical interests! Especially in the public library there are more crisis, such as the crisis happened in the National Library and the Zhongshan Library, are seriously and influence widely, which repeatedly sounds the alarm for the library! Thus it can be seen, crisis management using in Public library management in our country is imperative!There are five chapters in this research. Chapter 1 elaborates the research significance at first, and discriminates the related concept, gives the theory summary of the crisis management both overseas and the domestic state, including the theory origin, the thought germinates and the development process ,points out the content, the method and the innovation of this research; Chapter 2performs the crisis's characteristic, the crisis's type, the crisis's function, the crisis's basic principle, and so on, and analyzes the feasibility and the necessity that the theory of crisis management using in the Public library domain, and enumerates interior crisis and exterior crisis which the Public library possibly faces, as well as the crisis's reason; Chapter 3 taking the cases of public library crisis management for example, concrete question, concrete study, appraisals all the public library crisis management; Chapter 4 considering our country public library's present situation, proposes how to establish and improve crisis management mechanism in our country public library, including: sets up the idea, construct the pattern, and proposes the specific measures; Finally, Chapter 5 proposes conclusion and further study needs to work of this research.
