Infrared imaging seeker is intelligence seeker. With extended source information processing, they can recognize complex targets by themselves in complex background and select the vulnerability, the point to hit, of the target. Using infrared image guidance technology, more target information can be provided and the background interference can be suppressed more effectively. So the recognizing probability and the hitting precision can be improved. The on-missile computer simulation system, this paper designed, can provide a platform for testing and analyzing the performance of infrared imaging seeker. On this platform, the seeker and the computer on-missile can do information interaction with each other. Moreover, this system can check_seeker automatically, and give control orders to the seeker and monitor its state. In addition, the information that seeker transmit can be stored and displayed and transformed into data files for the evaluation of the experiment afterwards.According to the function of the system and design requirements, the general idea of the system was introduced and the system structure was put forward. And then, this paper explained the system from four aspects, the design of special PCI board, the development of FPGA functional module, the driver of PCI device and the implementation of man-machine interface. In the hardware design part, we related to the design of the special PCI board and developed high-speed synchronization serial send-receive link based FPGA and on-off information in-out module. Then the norm and principle of PCI bus was depicted. In emphasis, we introduced PLX9056 chip which was used to realize the PCI bus protocol, based which, we designed special PCI board. Moreover, the HDLC protocol was introduced, and CRC algorithm of arbitrarily multiple bits is proved theoretically. In addition, based on the Top-Down design method, the design of the HDLC protocol controller was described behaviorally and implemented on Xilinx's FPGA product XC2S300E.In the software part, the driver of PCI was discussed and then developed on Windows OS, using WinDriver language. On the platform of on-missile computer simulation system, we accomplished the application program for users with Visual C++ and realized the information interaction of the on-missile computer simulation system and infrared imaging seeker.Combined software and hardware design, the on-missile computer simulation system was implemented.
