Anti-ship missile (ASM), as the crucial weapon attacking enemy warships in modern naval warfare, is getting increasingly popularity worldwide; then its detection techniques receive much recognition. On present stage, our ASM in service attacks mainly the offing even littoral targets. Ground and sea clutter, produced by islands, coast and sea surface, attended by each active and passive electronic countermeasure (ECM), affect seriously the detection performance of terminal radar seeker(TRS). Thus, it is of significant importance in military affairs to work over the detection technique of seeker based upon thorough analysis on target characteristic of existing vessels and ground or sea clutter. At first, this dissertation analyzes systematically all the offing striking warfare, characteristic of target warships and clutters of both ground and sea, which the ASM might encounter, then gives the integrated summarization on constant false alarm rate (CFAR), a traditional signal detection technique in the clutter environment, as well as the current detection techniques in TRS. Considering the acquisition mode of TRS, a novel detection algorithm, binomial accumulation OS-CFAR, is proposed for conventional TRS in the sector-region searching mode, and the simulation result shows the high target detection capability and anti-jamming multi-targets capability. The moving target detection (MTD) technique for low-speed target is one of the most critical arts of TRS. In the last chapter, MTD for ASM using is proposed on the found of analysis on target vessels characteristic. By analyzing the two typical incoherent and coherent clutter cancellations, a novel method using displaced phase center antenna (DPCA) to restrain the bandwidth expand of sea clutter is proposed, and the simulation indicates its relative high low-speed target detection performance. Thus, this novel approach could be used in TRS of ASM, inaugurates new way of low-speed target detection, for its passable capability without the adding of extra apparatus.
