Design And Implementation Of DCS In Paper-making

DCS is a sign weighing level and strength of automation of countries. With the development of computer technology, development of DCS shifts from tradition of "Display Centralized, Control Distributed" to enterprise information automation, significant progress of system open has been achieved. Modern paper-making industry is a complex system project, application and research of DCS supporting data integration and merged with general computer technology in paper-making industry are significant.This paper takes paper machine expansion project of one large paper mill in domestic as background. It has in-depth research on DCS based on ABB/Industrial^IT. This dissertation consists of four parts as follows:In the first part, it first introduces development status and trend of domestic paper-making industry and DCS, paper background and main work in this paper.In the second part, it has research of control features of paper-making industry and system control strategy of paper-making process.In the third part, it states main structure of paper machine control system and has further statement of control sub-system of paper machine automation.In the fourth part, it's primary research of DCS hardware design of paper machine. Selection of DCS, network topology of client/server, controller and I/O boards, control system configuration and network connection method are addressed in detail.In the fifth part, it has primary research of DCS software design of paper machine. Clock synchronization, OPC application in the system and control software application are addressed in detail.ABB/Industrial^IT used in this expansion project operates stably,. Expansibility, complexity and open of system are better, integration of whole system is better. Due to application of general computer and information technologies, system costs are relatively low.
