The Study And Realization Of The Remote Courseware Making Platform Based On Time-hierarchical Model

Universal Remote Multimedia Courseware Making Platform (UCMP) is a distributed multimedia application system based on B/S architecture. Remote video-on-demand is frontier technology of streaming media technology in the media communicate application, UCMP is an expansion integrated platform based on remote video-on-demand technology. It can realize the function of making and releasing the courseware, remote video-on-demand, online examination and making examination paper, releasing news and BBS communication and so on. The platform provides the strong technical support for promoting of remote learning and higher education information project.RTP and RTCP are basic transport protocols of streaming media technology based on the session layer. In the research areas of multimedia communications, media synchronization is mainly research how to maintain a time constraint relationship when associated with multi-media objects in a media file.There are two aspects study on multimedia synchronization, how to build the media synchronization model and how to realize the synchronization model, In recent years, we have made great progress on how to describe the multimedia synchronization, eg: based on interval, based on timeline, based on reference point, based on hierarchical, based on Petri nets and so on, the research on how to realize the media synchronization mainly concentrated on the distributed asynchronous environment platform.In general, choose a simple and less overhead algorithm is very important to meet a variety of communication environments for network transmission mode. This paper is designed based on time synchronization model and the hierarchical model.The UCMP based on SMIL technology provides an efficient environment for making and releasing of courseware, the simple and friendly user-interface which together both of the real-time classroom and network classroom closely to improve the teaching-resource utilization and learning efficiency. This paper takes the design and development of the UCMP project as the background, the platform is mainly realized the synchronization of streaming media files based on SMIL and the system construction of courseware making and releasing, gives a detailed description of the process of the courseware making and releasing, and introduces the other sub-systems, the paper gives the qualitative analysis of the system test results, and from the aspects of the network transmission, database, and web system analyzes the security of the system.Finally, the paper gives a summary and work prospect of next step.
