Research On Remote Monitoring And Management System For Data Center

With the development of computer and the network technologies, we call today's society network society. Computer data is most commonly used in our life and work which plays an important role in company, government, school etc.The remote monitoring and managing system for data centre was designed which adopts C/S model for the monitor and remote computer, and B/S model for the managing computer, based on TCP/IP network theory. The function of remote progress monitor and management based on GPRS is added to remind the administrators to take some manual work. The monitor (server) runs in Monitor Center, it monitors and records the data change information in remote computers, takes charge of wake-on-Lan. The client installed on the remote computer will monitor its progresss and file change, carry out instructions from the monitor, at the same time it will send a lot of monitoring data to the monitor to store and display in real time.This paper goes into details many key techniques, such as combines the B/S and C/S in one to establish a mixed-structure software, the progress and files monitor system base on C/S structure, and remote management system base on B/S and GPRS. This paper provides a fully description how the monitor of course and file is realized using VB.net groupware and API functions. The intelligent managing database is established by the course data provided by the administrator and self-learning function. The Practice verifies that our remote monitoring and managing system is dependable and effective. It comes true a new data center management means.In the monitor, there are a lot of monitoring data which must be stored, in this system we create a database to store these data and provide the query function, the related theory is provided in this paper.
