Research And Implementation Of The Technology Of Telecommunication Machine Room Remote Monitoring And Administration

With the fast development of the telecommunications in our country, more and more telecommunication machine rooms have bean set up. According to the statistical data, the network faults are mainly caused by the power interruption or room temperature and humidity changes in the environment. Most of the telecommunication machine rooms are distant from the corporation, so it's difficult to master the conditions of patrolling. So it's necessary to monitor the machine rooms' power and environmental parameters centrally and supervise the inspection work, ensuring the normal work of machine rooms, making a transition from the maintenance and management of passive guards to the control and management of computer models.In this paper, I designed the software of the collection device. I implemented the information collection and transmission of the dynamic environmental monitoring information, security alerts, polling inspection information and remote control and management information. On the basis of this system, aiming at the possible problems of field equipments such as system crashes and applications withdraw, I studied the monitoring and management of monitoring system equipments basing on Intel Active Management Technology (Intel(?) AMT). Based on hardware which is support Intel? AMT, I design the remote management system running under OS. So the system is not dependent on the operating system and able to remote power on or off, reboot, install OS, check the system malfunction by serial over LAN, etc. Therefore, the system solves the problem that software solution can't work when OS is broken-down. It substantially broadens the scope of management capabilities. Therefore, the monitoring system can achieve efficient management on both operation and equipments.The system has entered into the stage of the field test, it has got the consistent praise from the operators, with its easy-use, friendly interface, high reliability characteristics. It has greatly improved the timeliness and accuracy of finding faults, and ensured inspection normal, thus shorten the equipment failure lasted, lowered down the failure rate of equipment, ensured the stability of the entire telecommunications network running.
