Study On The Application Of Radio Frequency Indentification In The Fixed Asset Management In Telecommunication Room

Radio Frequency Identification is a new generation of auto-identification technologies. RFID has been studied for the automatic identification in industry. There are many strict requirements in the fixed asset management in telecommunication room. The method using in checking and repairing the asset now is not suitable for the asset in telecommunication.Based on the requirements and characteristics of the fixed asset management in telecommunication room, the characteristics and advantage of RFID, and the application examples of RFID, it is confirmed that RFID can be used in the fixed asset management in the telecommunication room. And the cost of the RFID system is analyzed. The system of RFID in telecommunication room is designed, and the hardware is selected for the system. There is a software system to be designed and developed for the fixed asset management. The main contents of this thesis are described as following:1. Based on the patents data, two types of growth curves, Logistic model and Gompertz model, are used to estimate the current development level of barcode and RFID technology. A forecast of technology development is then given. Through analyzing characteristics of the two growth curves, their suitable application condition in technology forecast is discussed. 2. Based on the analysis of the requirements and characteristics of the fixed asset management in telecommunication room and the technology of RFID, it is confirmed that RFID can be used in the fixed asset management in the telecommunication room.3. The system framework of RFID used in the fixed asset management in telecommunication room is built. For some key system part such as RFID tag and wireless communication technology, some requirements from the specific conditions of telecommunication room are considered and then some possible technical solutions are compared with each other to select the best technical scheme.4. The software system of the fixed asset management in telecommunication room is designed and developed.
