Wireless sensor network is produced for the military purpose initially. With deeper research and gradual development of electronic technics, broader applicable areas are found. Apart from military area, it's importance is widely recognized in the academics and industry at present. And it has applied into many domains of social production and life.WSN integrates the sensor, communication and computing technology, has the ability of collection, transmission, processing of information. In the variety of protocols of wireless communication, IEEE802.15.4 standards aims at low rate wireless personal area network (LR-PAN). It defines the physical layer (PHY) and the media access control layer (MAC). The commercialized ZigBee protocol defines the network layer and provides the application interface function for the application layer based on IEEE802.15.4 standard.On the base of the application research of the transmission of the viberating signals in the WSN using IEEE802.15.4 and ZigBee protocol, this subject researched the development of status of WSN in our country and in the world, analyzed the key technology of the WSN, presented the designing steps of WSN, established the software and hardware platform and the WSN experimental system of vibrating signal, and analyzed the experimental data.At the present time, the research and application of WSN are at the primary stage. There are lots of chanllegable subjects in the theory and engineering aspect, and broader and deeper researches are needed.
