According to the special technical characteristics of the 83th series oilfield logging instruments, this paper introduces a method of developing remote oilfield monitoring system based on network. The system finishes some important functions such as data communication, data storage, data processing, data visualizing, data replaying, remote monitoring and so on.The paper begins with reviewing the present status of oilfield monitoring systems, and expounds the software design of the oilfield monitoring system under Windows environment. It finishes the design and realization of the related modules according to the requirement of the practical requirements. Then this paper detailedly introduces the design and implementation of the configuration file and its parsed classes; Then discusses the principle of the measurement and its representation form; Through making use of splitter windows, the sampled data is portrayed effectively, the data plotting and table head are separated at the same time, which is a key step in order to meet the requirements of long distance oilfield tasks. In the paper, the process of designing an effective file format to store the sampled data is also described. The data replaying module is introduced in the paper too.Another important part in the paper is that we discuss the realization of Client/Server-Based network module by using CSocket,CArchive in MFC; The functions of remote monitoring is implemented through designing CMsg class, CDStream class, CClientSock class and so on.
