In the thesis, the control strategy and data transport method about remote control system are investigated base on the basic concept and research tendency at home and abroad in the field. Then detailed research on a remote control system is conduct from three aspects, which are control methods, factors influencing system operation performances. For carrying out the control of the tribological test system, in which it is important to assure the reliability and real-time character in the dada collecting, a novel web-based engineering experimental Long Distance Supervisory Control System (LDSCS) has been developed. The system has the function to carry out remote management & query of test data. Furthermore, the system is successfully used to control remotely its test parameters (temperature, speed and load) for a new DC frictional and wear tester. The main achievements are as follows:1. In the system, three function modules are independently designed, but have each other connection among them based on functional requirements. Therefore, the system processes the characteristics of the clear, succinct and applicable.2. As a common used control software, the design principals of both security and reliability are used in the design of system.3. The realization of the remote control function base on C/S, B/S structure.4. Based on the combination the remote control system and the engineering experimental system, the effectiveness of the remote control system has been verified by using it in a DC frictional and wear tester.
