As computer technology is developing fast, internet has been growing from"Reading"to"Writing", and users change from accepting internet information passively to creating internet information actively. With more and more people equipped with personal communication gadgets, information exchanging based on PC can not satisfy people's requirement for business and daily life. Mobile phone, whose function is upgrading fast, is playing an important part in people's life. Most mobile phones in market can be used to take pictures and record audio files. However, we can not find an effective way of sharing resources in our mobile phones.Therefore, we build a mobile information system, which adopts C/S architecture, based on web services. Taking the system for example, we design a sharing pattern for personal mobile resources and do some research on the application of J2ME and web services on information exchanging and entertainment life. Users can use mobile phones to take pictures and record audio files, and upload these files to the server for backup and sharing. At the same time, users can also browse others'resources and download interested ones to their own mobile phone.Our work concentrates on several aspects as follows:We analyze the background, features and key technology of software development of mobile multimedia system and design a technique solution based on J2ME and Web service. Moreover, we implement the publication of web services on the server and invocation of web services on the client.According to the system feature, we design the database and main functions on the server and do some optimization.Using optional package, we develop multimedia processing function and file processing function on the client.We realize proposals presented, and the system demonstrates excellent performance.
