Electrostatic precipitation technology utilizes high voltage DC source toproduce strong electrical field and make gas ionization, and the dust granule in electricalfield will be electrificated. Under the effect of electrical field, the dust granule will beseparated from gas. Because of significant effect and low consumption, Electrostaticprecipitation equipment is widely used in industry and plays a great role in environmentprotection scheme. As a main part of electrostatic precipitation, power source have agreat effect on the precipitation efficiency. This thesis introduces a high voltage DCelectrostatic precipitation source with three phase AC rectifier topology, including threephase AC rectifier circuit, three phase silicon rectifying transformer, electrostaticprecipitation reactor, auxiliary source, Silicon Control Rectifier (SCR) and controlsystem, and designs a control system for electrostatic precipitation power source basedon DSP. The control system uses increment PID algorithm to control the SCR pulsecircuit for adjusting the DC output. It has a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) module todisplay the real-time state variables and a keyboard to setup the voltage and currentparameters. The control system can communicates with a computer following theRS-232 protocol, an intelligent interface is designed to remotely control the electrostaticprecipitation equipment by Visual Basic 6.0.
