This paper present a new design method of microcomputer control system, based on the principle of electrostatic precipitation. The control system is the important part of the high-voltage electronstatic precipitator. Since industrial smoke can be ionized into positive ions and negative ions in the high-voltage eletric fields, these ions collide with dust particles and charge the ultra fine particles. When the charging particles go through the precipitator, they will adhere to the anode system or cathode system of precipitator, as the result the dust particles are absobded and cleared. The SCM (Single Chip Microcomputer) 80C31 is the kernel of the control system. Except for the SCM, the control system includes the following components. They are input signal regulating circuit, output signal circuit, parameters displaying circuit and protection circuit. Under the automatic operation, control system obtains and the parameters' value of the main loop' s current and voltage, then export control pulse according to control methods such as tracking spark control method, tracking peak value control method, intermittent power supply control method, phase recovering control method. The system export control pulse to adjust the silicon controlled rectifier' s conducting angle in order to control the voltage between anode and cathode of precipitator. Such realizes the closed loop control. Under manual operation, operators can manually upgrate the output voltage between anode and cathode of precipitator, then realize open loop control. In addition, there is also a RS232 communication interface on the system with which master computer can communicate with the system to supervise and control the system in order to constitute the distributed control system.
