The automatic sorting machine of high power LED that studied in this subject involves optics, mechanics and electronics. This machine is used to test LEDs' optic and electronical parameters, and then sort them according to the results and parameters input by the user automatically.In the beginning, the main parameters and the conception of partial led flux is introduced. The ways of testing are analyzed. The results show that the relative spectral power distribution P(λ,) is the most important chroma parameter, all other parameters can be calculated from P(λ) ,so the accuracy of P(λ) has direct impact to the accuracy of chroma parameters of high power LEDs.All the study areas of this subject are confirmed. Then the designing of the machine is introduced. It includes the designing for mechanical part, controlling part, testing part and software. The controlling system is realized by the technology of PC&PLC, PC controlls instruments used in the LED testing and PLC drives mechnical part. The testing system uses High-accuracy cool CCD as detecting elemant and it introduced spectral correction integral photometry technology,large caliber connection small integrating sphere technology and temperature controlled by voltage technology. At last, the way of automatic sorting of LEDs is discussed and studied. The parameters which selected as classifying parameters are confirmed, these parameters are positive voltage, partial led flux and wavelength. Actual measurement was done, the results prove that this machine performs well in the on-line test and accords with the demand of design.The interface of the machine is clear and the structure is rational, it is convenient for testing and adjusting. The success of the machine's designing will promote the development of semiconductor illuminate industry effectively.
