With the development of information technology, the military equipments of national navy are now on the way to computerization and Electronization. There are some problems in the area of military equipments, such as absence of measurement equipments, low level automation, and long service-period, which influence the battle effectiveness very much. The test system will be large and high-price if using the special test system. With the development of compute and virtual instrument (VI) technology, automatic test technology has improve a lot which makes the automatic test system of the military equipments feasible.Firstly, a test system of electric equipment of some warship is chosen in this paper, and the interface adapter module and test program are researched deeply. Then the author works out the solution of Universal automatic test system of the military equipments, and tests two electric modules. The result of the test shows a good improvement in the automation and testing efficiency.After discussing the universality and automation of test system required by the national modern military equipments, the research of universal automatic test system is proposed in this paper. The effect and the trend of military automatic test system are introduced, and focus on the problem of the universality of test system. According to the specialties of the application object, the author proposes the design requirements, and then gives out the solution of the automatic test system which includes the ATE design and TPS design. Under the guiding of requirement of the solution, the author completes the type selection of hardware flat form module, design of interface adapter, integration of the software, and the programming. Then the author test two military modules, GCB302 and TSIB, according the analysis of the principle of the two modules. The result of the test shows a good improvement in the automation and testing efficiency. At last, the whole work and prospects of the later work are summarized in the paper.
