Design And Implementation Of The Online Test System Based On Practitioners Qualification Certificate Of Road Transport

Traditional test procedure includes paper setup, paper print, test monitor, manualaudit and paper analysis, therefore the procedure is long, paper auditing is low-efficient,it also brings problems as test cheating and manual audit, such factor will influence thefairness and justness. With the development of network technology and expression ofinternet application, the development of online test system is also pursed.This article is based on the facts that Shantou Transportation Bureau Test Center toanalyze the needs of on-line test system and system design， three users are setup:administrator, test center mentor and tester. System will assign different authorization todifferent users. The procedure is: Administrator will maintain the mentor information,manage the test coursed; Test center mentor will maintain the test questions. When testdatabase store reasonable number of standard questions, it will automatically organize afinal test paper by preset parameter, and test paper will be finalized by fix format or byrandom format. After test paper is finalized, tester could logon to the test system, selectquestion to join online testing. When test paper audit is completed, both mentors andtesters could search the test results and scores.This online test system will separate to3sub-sections, each sub-sections will becatagoried into different modules. Sub-section of system administration includesquestion management, test paper setup, mentor management, news management anddatabase management. Sub-section of tester includes online testing, auto-auditing andscore check, each sub-section will be detailed designed. The key modules for the systemis user log-on, question maintenance, test management, online testing, auto-auditing,score checking and tester management. Detail calculation is also designed in the system.User logon and test paper webpage security is well controlled in the system. Thetest web page has timing design, the process is as: when test begins, the system willstart timing; When system is down or internet is offline, then timing will be suspending.When user PC restart testing, the timing will resume, when test timing is off, thensystem will submit the paper automatically, no answer could continued.This system is developed by ASP, SQL Server2005is used as server database, itsdesigned structure is B/S. This system is proved to be efficient, healthy and easy tomaintain through various testing. It could no longer improve the prescientific of test, improve the objectivity and fairness of testing, but also reduce the workload of mentor,thus provide mentors more time and energy for instructive teaching study.
