America is the cradleland of communication education. As a new academic field, communication education developed rapidly and became one of most popular subject in the recent decades. Present American communication education, especially for graduates takes the first place in the world.Graduates learn their major knowledge by courses. Meanwhile, various curricula provisions reflect different features and targets. Scientific curricula provisions provide reasonable qualification for graduate's study, it's the key of good educational quality and peculiarity. Therefore, in this thesis selects eight top graduate schools which are representational in communication of graduate education in America are selected. With focus on the analysis of curricula provision of the eight graduate schools, we open out four traits owned by them in common, which are in the following:1.emphasis of communication theories 2. methods, definite delamination 3. connected linkup among courses and subdivision to various fields 4.peculiar traits for each school. Through the above analysis,in the end., we point out some illuminations for China's communication of graduate education.Presently, the articles which focus on American communication education of graduates from the view of curricula settings are seldom. Maybe it's the innovation point of this thesis.
