Nowadays, more and more system, which is consisted of controller module and data collection module, is used to realize the automatic control in the field of industry. This system has the following characteristics: powerful function, low cost, high flexibility. The controller module of the system is the core, and higher performance controller module can collect much more analog inputs and digital inputs, can provide much more control arithmetic and control much more closed loop, therefore can improve the performance of the system.This thesis introduces a kind of software-configurable high performance controller module which can realize system configuration, namely the arithmetic in the module can be configured by the software in the PC, and therefore it can fit for different control objects. And the analog input channels and digital input channels of the module make it can construct a control system but independent to other IO collection module.This thesis introduces some concepts of configuration, discusses how to realize configuration and the requirements of software and hardware of the controller module. Some typical control arithmetic is introduced, analyzed and compared using MATLAB through a typical control system; therefore some of them are chose to the controller module according to the control effectiveness.The hardware system of the controller module is consisted of SoC MCU C8051F005, corresponding input and output signal adapt circuit, communication circuit and power supply circuit. The thesis introduces every circuit design and discusses the anti-interfere method in the hardware design. More the thesis introduces the designs of the monitoring program and every module program in the C8051F005 and the configuration program in the PC, and gives the method for realizing software configuration of controller module.The experiments show that the controller module have high collection accuracy, good control effectiveness, high flexibility and good prospect to apply in industry in the future.
