Knowledge Management System Based On Data Mining And Case-based Reasoning

As the advanced stage and form of information management, knowledge management shows us a new view of management in knowledge economy era. It's the most important measure for organizations to meet challenge of era. Knowledge management is human-centered and uses modern information technologies to get, save, share, apply and create knowledge. It is the product as the same time the impetus of knowledge economy. Knowledge management system uses kinds of knowledge management technologies to integrate activities in knowledge management. Building it is the inevitably measure of knowledge management's implementation. Exploring and researching knowledge management is not only the hot topic in business, but also the concerned subject by academic organizations. Although there are some achievements, sound theory and application system is still not formatted.The development of data mining and case-based reasoning has brought new impetus for knowledge management. The former is used mainly for the discovery of knowledge, while the latter mainly for the use of tacit knowledge. Therefore, these two technologies have close contact with knowledge management.Firstly, this thesis introduces the basic concepts of knowledge management, knowledge management system and knowledge management technology. It presents a better six-storey system framework for knowledge management system.Secondly, this thesis introduces the basic concepts of data mining and case-based reasoning and researches how they are used in knowledge management system. Especially, it gives a specific process about how case-based reasoning applied to knowledge management.Thirdly, according to the construction guidelines, this thesis designs a new evaluative index system against the characteristics of knowledge management system which combines qualitative and quantitative and gives an evaluation method which improves AHP and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. This thesis uses them to analyses the existing knowledge management systems which use data mining or case-based reasoning.Finally, an implementation framework of knowledge management system based on data mining and case-based reasoning is presented according to the above conclusions of the analysis. This system uses a construction of modular which is good for its functional expansion. This system supports various links in knowledge management using data mining and case-based reasoning. It combines them organically, so they can use their expertise to enhance each other's capabilities. This thesis analyses the functions of this system and researches the effects of data mining and case-based reasoning in this system specifically.Knowledge management system based on data mining and case-based reasoning embodies the benefits because of network and modular. It also shows us the necessities and complementarities to combine data mining and case-based reasoning in knowledge management system. In addition, this thesis presents a systematic evaluation index system meets the general and particularity of knowledge management system, and the corresponding evaluation method is more scientific and objective.
