With the development of computer, multimedia and data communication technology, the technology of video acquisition and transmission is developing at an unprecedented rate.Video acquisition based on wireless is appearing with the development of wireless technology, which reinforces the mobility of video acquisition equipment. More and more regions use wireless technology to transmit their video data, such as video and audio transmission system,production assembly line,monitoring system.A wireless video acquisition system based on OFDM by software programming on DSP chip is put forward in this article. The system use TMS320VC5509A of TI as the main process. its small volume,antijamming and high reliability makes the system more usefully, So its appliance will have a broad prospect.A wireless video acquisition transmission system based on OFDM is designed in the paper.Hardware and software designs are mainly discussed.The function of this system is to change the analog video signal which acquired by CCD into digital video signal, then compresses the digital video signal, and then transmits it after modulation.There are several modules in the system, such as video acquisition, MPEG-4 compression, OFDM transmission, which is mainly discussed from hardware design to software design in this paper. The design of outside circuit and the realization of the interface between each module are mainly talked about in the hardware design. The programming and realization of each OFDM modules on the DSP platform is put forward in the software design.Not only hardware design is discussed, but also some theories are referring to in the paper, such as video compression, I2C bus and OFDM technology.
