Research Of Online Course's Instructional Design Templates Based On SCORM

Since the idea of studying all life along and constructing a society full of studying are spreading, online education based-on information technology has caught more and more concern. The development of online education needs the support of network instructional system. Network instructional system includes Learning resource, learning resource developing system and learning management system, among which the learning resource represented by online course and learning resource developing system are the key factors in online education development. There are a lot more excellent online courses, which make great efforts to improve the quality of online education in our county. However, there are still unsolved disadvantages, such as lack of specification, high technologial difficulty, long developing period, difficult to handle for subject-matter teacher; lack of good instructional design; difficult to search, organize and manage; hard to trace; difficult to record learner's learning data in LMS (Learning Manage System), difficult to reach the purpose of individuation; difficult to transplant, combining too much with instructional system.Based-on SCORM criterion (the third edition that ADL has just published), this research is lucubrated the actual requirements of how to develop good online course based-on SCORM, trying to use template strategy in standard course developing, through research on SCORM 2004 3rd Edition Overview,SCORM 2004 3rd Edition Content Aggregation Model (CAM) Version 1.0,SCORM 2004 3rd Edition Run-Time Environment (RTE) Version 1.0,SCORM 2004 3rd Edition Sequencing and Navigation (SN) Version 1.0; research on instructional design mode which suitable for network circumstances; and research on all kinds of Dreamweaver extension technology and JavaScript, XML, active web technology. Choosing Dreamweaver to do secondary development and encapsulation in a standard way, trying to make a system that provides instructional design templates and with extensible character based-on SCORM, to help subject-matter teacher and other online course developer develop online course that has the point of accessibility, adaptability, affordability, durability, interoperability and reusability quickly and easily for the process of informationization of education.
