Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is an automatic identification technology using wireless digital bidirectional communication technology. By virtue of anti-bad environment, contactless identification and so on, RFID technology has been used in so much fields, for example, industrial automation, commerce automation, traffic transportation and anti-pirate.RFID technology has been popularized in many foreign countries, especially in production and manufacture. A survey made by MIT and IBM indicates that a majority of manufactories have been in using automatic identification syetem or related RF technology before 2006 year, and RFID technology will be a power tool to promote key competition ability of corporation in future. Now RFID technology has been in demonstration at home. As the basement of economy, the production and management of domestic manufactories has beening dropped behind. How to use the new digital information technology to enhance the productivity and management level of our manufactories, is now a key problem to be waited for a solution.This paper researched the RFID technology applied in industrial production and manufacture, designed and realized a low cost and low power consume RFID network controller. The aim is to solve lots of bottom production datas collection and disposal, help to convenient for manufactories's production and management, increase productivity.The design of RFID network controller consists of RFID technology, embedded system technology and network communication technology. To acquire a flexible and re-configuration system structure, the paper adopts separate design method of RFID system and network control system. First, completed the hardware design and software driver design of 2.45GHz remote RFID reader module and active tag, also researched multi-tags identification technology of RFID system, designed a new two layers anti-collision arithmetic by use of FDMA and CDMA technology. Then, made ARM7 core S3C4510B chip as the network platform control core, chosed uCLinux as the embedded operating system of the network platform, realized Ethernet communication function of the platform. Finally, designed communication module of PC application software, done some test about RFID network controller.Results make clear that the system has well performance.
