Reasearch And Application Of WorldFIP Fieldbus

WorldFIP is one of the international fieldbus standards, which is applied widely with its characteristic of high reliability, good real-time, unitary protocol and the easy node operation of entering or quiting network etc. WorldFIP fieldbus has been applied successfully in the train's control at abroad, and also used to transfer control instructions and status monitoring information during the introduction of high-power locomotive in China. Therefore, digestion, absorption and mastery of WorldFIP network's protocol and configuration are very significant for the applications.This paper introduces the background of WorldFIP application and situation in train communication network, and analyzes WorldFIP fieldbus's network reliability, scalability, real-time, security and the effective information at the performance of the train communication network requirements, then compares WorldFIP with other fieldbuses in the field of medium redundant management, signal encoding style, frame format, media access and other respects. The paper also does research on the locomotive network structure and information transmission, and studies the advantages and characteristics thoroughly from the theoretical and practical application of WorldFIP in the train communication network.WorldFIP communication network is established in the laboratory. The modules based on master station of FULLFIP2 and slave station of MICROFIP are designed to implement data communication. The board which is used to transfer WorldFIP protocol to RS485 and CAN bus protocol is designed to achieve more expansion functions. On the basis of the platform, software architecture is designed; meanwhile, the method of constructing BA list, the library MHFD and the library FDM are introduced. According to the successful realization of communication, this subject completes the WorldFIP performance verification and the basic experiments, and comprehends the WorldFIP agreement. This will be the foundation for studying WorldFIP fieldbus in the practical application of train control system.
