Along with the growing technique of computer, communication, network and control, as an intention, digitize is covering all layers of the industry automation. At the same time, the control instrument is changing from analogue to digitize, intelligent and network. Modern process control system is also changing from DCS to FCS. During the transition from DCS to FCS, the traditional instruments can't be eliminated right now. Thus the problem of how to make FCS compatible with the traditional instruments arises. This paper gives a good solution for this problem.This paper focuses on the following facts:The paper analyses WorldFIP protocol in detail and introduces the technical characteristics and the main developing tools, explains the advantage of the former and establish the developing aims.Then the paper introduces the designing and developing of the fieldbus-current converter from two ways: hardware and software, including the selection of the elements, the designs of the circuit figure and the compile of the program.
