FCS(Fieldbus Control System) has became the direction of the development of control system,it has changed the structure of traditional control system,shaping a new generation of integrated distribution control system. The spread and popularization of FCS bring forward new requirements for the measurement and transmitting devices. New generation of fieldbus device should not only have foundational measurement capability,but also can communicate with supervisory computers,so they can be configured and diagnosed through the network. In order to realize the completed distributed control system, that is to say, transferring the basic control capability to industrial field, fieldbus devices should also have the basic control capability.Pressure transmitter is important measurement device of process automation. It can be used to measure pressure, fluid level and other parameters. This paper introduces the hardware design and software program of a pressure transmitter based on WorldFIP fieldbus technology, which can measure pressure and temperature simultaneously. In the hardware design part,the sensor module, round card based on WorldFIP technology and the interface between dot matrix LCD and micro-controller is introduced, the software program part gives a introduction of data acquiring and processing,communication between intelligent transmitter and WorldFIP fieldbus,the programming of LCD and practical PID increment arithmetic.The last part of this paper gives a prospect about the improvement and perfection of this intelligent pressure transmitter.
