With the development of modern science and technology, and the raising of people's living standard, residents put forward the higher demand on the house' functions and quality. Smart home are popular because of their safety, comfort, expedite information and perfect service. In consequence, they are likely to stand for the trend of modern housing. So it's very important to study and develop intelligence products which can meet the request of people.Based on the analysis of smart home both at home and abroad and the consideration of practical demands on Smart home in China, a design of multi-function smart home control system is put forward.Through remote control and local control, the design can perform the following functions:1. Remote control over electric equipment through telephone network2. Local control over electric equipment through key board3. Safety alarming4. Date collection of meters of electricity, water and gas5. Operation of real timeAccording to the design, Intensified Single Chip C8051F020 is the core of the smart home control system. Remote control is realized through signal transmission over telephone network. Local control is realized throw man-machine communication controlled by system keyboard. The main CPU will alarm when there is some unexpected interrupt.The paper summarizes the characteristics of smart home management and control system and also exemplifies its application. And furthermore, it has put forward some ideas on how to improve the system.
