With technology development and standard of living improvement, Broadcast and TV have experienced several renovations in technology. Now, video signal is developing from color TV to high definition and multimedia, in other words, from analog to digital. Digital electronic technology, as an important component of information industry, has been paid at-tention to by most of countries.At the same time, digital video contents supplied by computer or provider can be copied and broadcasted times without number, but quality of the signal doesn't degrade at all. In this situation, how to protect knowledge property not being copied and broadcasted, for those cor-porations having property of video signal, is particularly necessary and exigent. At this back-ground, HDCP(High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection)protocol, used to protect data through HDMI interface ,is presented.Based on study of HDMI Interface and HDCP protocol, author of this paper implemented HDCP protocol using software.The overall structure of the realization consists of three layers: basic algorithm module, handshake authentication module and simulation module. Basic algo-rithm module implements the Stream Cipher proposed by HDCP,including hdcp_InitCipher(),hdcp_Km(),hdcp_BlockCipher()å'Œhdcp_GenPsrand(); Hanshake authentication module completes authentication protocol between transmitter and receiver; Simulation mod-ule implements communication between transmitter and receiver through SOCKET, contain-ing device monitor, device connection, data transmission and data receiving.Based on Stream Cipher proposed by HDCP, author of this paper designed a Stream Ci-pher (SC) IP, and verified the IP under MDK condition. The IP adopts pipelining design, which can operate on 200MHZ and satisfy the High-definition video encryption.At the same time, the SC IP according for HDCP protocol can apply to HDMI interface.
