Office Automation (OA) developed rapidly and was introduced into China in 1970s. It reached a stage of rapid development in the 1990s. Based on system science, taking behavior science as its leading science and utilizing information technology, OA may improve productivity, ameliorate internal management system, promote the fusion of basic information and provide enterprises with praise and swift decision-making information.First, this article introduced the OA basic concept, its development course as well as develop the OA great significance.Analyzed the work to flow the technology in the office automation system application.Secondly, this paper describes a workflow in OAS as an object .It becomes easy to manage the workflows for users in this way. This article has also discussed some concrete questions which the system performance history meets, and proposes the corresponding solution, including: Office automation system safety question, DDBMS and RDBMS integration question and realization trace retention.Finally, it summarizes itself, points out many parts that need us to perfect.Applying the workflow management system, office automation system of XAC has been used in actual work. It has good performance. It is proved practically that the system is designed reasonably.
